We'll tackle your fears in a way that feels approachable and tolerable, building your confidence step by step. Our goal is to help you define the life you truly want to live, empowering you to make choices that are important to you, not dictated by anxiety. You’ll lead the way in your treatment, and I'll provide the roadmap and tools to help you develop a new, more effective relationship with anxiety and reach your desired destination.

Treatment Approaches.

  • ERP is the “gold standard” treatment for OCD. In this therapy, individuals are exposed to situations that provoke their obsessions in a safe environment, while helping them prevent their compulsive responses. The ultimate goal of ERP is to free people from the cycle of obsessions and compulsions so they can live a more meaningful and compulsion-free life. ERP is also extremely effective for treating phobias, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and other anxiety disorders.

  • ACT is an empirically based treatment that utilizes acceptance and mindfulness strategies along with commitment and behavior-change strategies. The skills that are learned and practiced in this treatment can lead you to live a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling, without allowing difficult emotions to consume your daily life.

  • CBT and the theory behind it suggests that our thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and behavior are all connected, and that what we think and do affects the way we feel. As humans, we often fall into unhelpful patterns of thinking and responding which can worsen how we feel. CBT works to help us notice and change problematic thinking styles or behavior patterns so we can have an improved quality of life.

  • DBT is an evidence-based treatment modality that was originally developed for treating Borderline Personality Disorder, but has been adapted and proven to be effective for treating a wide range of mental health conditions. As a trained DBT therapist, I teach clients practical skills to better manage overwhelming emotions and reduce behaviors that cause distress. We'll work together in individual sessions to help you become more mindful, cope with difficult situations, regulate your emotions, and improve your relationships. Our goal is to help you build a more fulfilling and manageable life.
