Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( OCD )

What is CBT?

From the CBT framework, we believe that thoughts, feelings, and behaviors are interrelated. We often fall into unhelpful thinking traps as a result of our culture and environment. CBT teaches us how to challenge and modify distorted thoughts into more realistic thoughts, which can reduce the intensity of uncomfortable emotions. Modifying thoughts often results in behavioral change in a positive way.

CBT treatment can be very skills-based and if utilized and practiced, may result in fewer treatment sessions. This type of treatment will require you to practice skills outside of our sessions in order to form new patterns and behavior for long-lasting change.
